The focus of our worship gatherings is God: who he is, what he has done, and why we should care. Gatherings feel warm and welcoming. We dress casual. We talk about the Bible in a way that relates to real life. We love kids and we are passionate about taking good care of them so, we have pros running our kid's stuff. The music is a bit like a coffeehouse concert so, we serve good coffee. We meet every week on Sunday afternoons @ 5 pm @ Bethany E-Free Church, except for Second Sundays when we are out serving the community. Come find out more...

This week we begin our observance of Lent. Lent is a time of intentional reflection on and anticipation of Christ’s death and resurrection. Jeff will be introducing Lent corporately on Sunday. For the next 6 weeks we will be focusing on Christ and the cross during our worship gatherings, and we would love for each person to spend time focusing on this throughout the week as well. “Contemplating the Cross” is a Lenten devotional guide that we are encouraging everyone to read. It is available for purchase online at http://www.amazon.com or http://www.alibris.com . Or you can find the devotionals online at the author’s website, http://www.soulatrest.com. This website also gives a brief introduction to Lent that I would encourage you to read.
Looking ahead: our 2nd Sunday Service Project is March 8. We’ll be serving at Bethany EFC (where we meet), cleaning and doing some maintenance as a way to express our appreciation for letting us use their facilities each week.

We’ll be cleaning, painting, and organizing at several metro non-profits this week. Our regular worship gatherings will resume next Sunday at 5 p.m. Vaughn Jost will be teaching on prayer.

We have a weekend full of happenings. Friday through Sunday we will be serving meals at the Denver Rescue Mission for our 2nd Sunday Service Project. And Sunday evening we will be meeting at 5 p.m. to share a meal and talk about the ins and outs of Trailhead Church. We’ll meet in Bethany’s fellowship hall for dinner at 5, with the meeting to follow. Childcare is provided.
