What if Jesus’ prayer was answered?

When Jesus was teaching his disciples to pray, he told them they should ask God, “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Now, if heaven is all clouds and harps, that doesn’t make much sense. But that’s not what Jesus was talking about.

Heaven was a way of talking about the sphere in which things are the way God intends them–full of life, peace, hope, reconciliation, and love. Jesus was telling his disciples to pray that all that is wrong with the world, and with each of us, would be made right, beautiful, whole.

We believe it is ultimately the power of God that brings heaven to earth, but we also believe God has invited us to participate with him in that prayer being answered. We can’t imagine anything greater to give us purpose.

Be a part of a family on mission.

If you’re looking to be a part of a community with a purpose, we’d love to have you check out Trailhead. While you don’t jump into a new community and see them as family immediately, we do want to move together toward those kinds of relationships.
